Lên Ngàn is a digital arts and culture platform where Vietnamese heritage is reimagined and shared through a renewed spirit. Inspired by “lên đồng” – a state of transcendence in folk belief, and “ngàn mây” – an image of an endless journey of discovery, Lên Ngàn carries the aspiration to seek, listen to, preserve, and transform traditional cultural values in the most accessible and vivid way.We do not simply tell stories about heritage. We seek to create a space for dialogue between past and present, between artisans and younger generations, between tradition and creativity. Through carefully designed sections that enhance the user experience, Lên Ngàn opens a doorway for everyone to access, understand, and appreciate the deeper layers of Vietnamese culture through a new character, strong, flexible, and deeply inspiring.
We seek to create high-quality, trustworthy, intelligent, and responsible content and experiences when working with diverse cultural communities, including ethnic minority communities, vulnerable groups, and cultural practitioners such as artists and artisans. We recognize that transparency, editorial independence, and the courage to ask difficult questions help guide the path we have set for ourselves.

We remain endlessly curious about meaningful ideas: powerful stories, initiatives, social critique, new perspectives, knowledge, and abstract concepts. We take pride in making complex ideas accessible to multigenerational audiences, bringing unique experiences to life through creative forms of expression. Nguyễn Quốc Hoàng Anh (b. 1990) is a multimedia artist, curator, and founder of Lên Ngàn. He studied classical piano at the Military University of Culture and Arts, communications at FPT Arena, and sound art curation through the Sounds Now Curator Course at Onassis Stegi, Greece, supported by the Creative Europe Programme. Hoàng Anh works across disciplines including cultural heritage, contemporary art, and communications. He has also contributed as an expert speaker and advisor to the development of Vietnam’s cultural industry strategies for state institutions, including the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Copyright Office of Vietnam, and the Copyright Office of Vietnam, the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Selected projects in which he has participated as curator, director, and music producer include Seeing Sound, supported by the British Council (2017); The Story of Đàn Bầu, funded by the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg, Germany (2018); Âm Thanh Sắc Màu, supported by S&S Group and Cyril Kongo; and the work Red River Undercurrents, introduced in Music and Art in Action and published by the Institute of Ethnology at the University of Cologne on MAiA, part of the University of Exeter’s digital archive in the United Kingdom. He has also worked on the experimental stage production Cõi Thinh Không at Hanoi Creative Design Week 2021; curated performance art for Borderline Festival 2021 in Athens, Greece; served as a speaker for the programme Arts and Culture for Sustainable Development in Southeast Asia, organized by the Royal University of Fine Arts in Cambodia and the ASEAN Foundation; served as a judge for Marketing Peaking Point 2022 organized by RMIT University Vietnam; acted as content advisor, governance system advisor, and general director for the Opening Ceremony of Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023; participated as a cultural industry strategy advisor at the Creative Economy Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by the British Council and ASEAN; served as music director and curator for Facing Infinity, co-organized with the Vietnam Tuồng Theatre; and was general director of the Opening Ceremony and Parade of Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024.
