**THE ROAD BACK TO THE VOID** is a multidisciplinary stage performance inspired by ancestral worship, myths of transmigration, and Vietnamese cultural memory. The work combines folk materials, traditional rituals, and contemporary modes of expression to open a contemplative journey through memory, the sacred, return, dissolution, and human identity in the modern world.
The dance work **Facing Infinity** preserves, transforms, and communicates Vietnam’s intangible heritage through a renewed spirit and a new form - unfamiliar, yet still grounded in the core essence of tradition. It is not merely an act of innovation or adaptation, but a new way of seeing and a new mode of artistic treatment by contemporary artists. Within this process, co-creation plays an important role, not only within the framework of tradition, but also in expanding across different territories and cultural landscapes. Imagination and movement go beyond even the conventional notion of “dance,” leading audiences on a journey into unknown realms.
This intimate sharing session will offer new ways of thinking about and perceiving Vietnamese history and culture. Through multidimensional dialogues with each audience member, the session will explore specific themes in order to interpret the philosophical reflections embedded in the wisdom of our ancestors through the lens of ritual propriety. At the same time, we will revisit the landscape of Vietnamese family rituals in the face of the increasingly powerful influence of Western culture - as a way of looking inward, and of reflecting once again on the broader history, culture, people, and society of Vietnam, of which each of us is a small part.
The sharing session **“The Metaphors We Live By”** explores other dimensions of metaphor through a dialogue between the stylized choreographic conventions of Tuồng and the movement language of Western contemporary dance. The session is meaningful not only for young audiences, but also for those who have long devoted themselves to the Tuồng stage. It also serves as a source of inspiration for audiences, students, and researchers in their process of discovering and studying this distinctive form of traditional performing art.
The artists’ collaborative creation process in **MÃ** has carried the work beyond established frameworks, allowing audiences to journey into a new existential territory within themselves.
